The producer prepares and formats text, photo and audio content for posting on various KQED platforms, mobile apps, social media platforms and other digital venues. This role is part of the KQED digital news team, creating timely news coverage primarily for, as well as production of original online features and series. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and adept at reporting, story selection, headline and other display copy writing, copyediting, photo selection and editing, and audio editing. The producer reports, creates and manages editorial content on the web, on social media accounts and other channels of content distribution. This includes, but is not limited to: original reporting, maps, graphics, photography, art or additional reporting for. The digital producer creates unique, shareable content that can stand alone online and across digital platforms. At times this journalist will produce audio content.
