Champion: L missile mount for squall, tachyon lance, 2 HVDs.It's the best AFK fleet support, makes everything else around it work much better and provides a solid brick that even remnants have toruble pushing away XIV Legion: extremely durable, 2 L missile mounts for squalls, 4 fighter bays, HMGs for radiants getting too close.Without it they sometimes get stuck too far ahead, but work wonders otherwise Loadout+officer skills leave them a bit squishy so need some kind of overhead fighter/missile support. Eradicator: 3 heavy maulers, 4 railguns, rest vulcan and missiles empty are my favorite remnant smashers now.Front shield conversion and hardened shields, glue 1-2 to each radiant Monitor: no contest the best frigate for keeping other ships alive (and in general IMO).Once you have 200-240 DP many things can work, with minimal player intervention a bunch of durable cruisers+monitors and 1-2 capitals are my favorite way.Ī notable hullmod is solar shielding, against remnants it's extremely good for the cost so everything should have it. Scarab is very good at capturing, safety overrides/sabot hegemony kite is the eco option for only 2 DP. You'll need either best of the best for guaranteed 200 (that's generally enough so don't even have to capture), or bring some very fast frigates. The most important part is making sure you can deploy 200+ DP, the AI can't do much if it's outnumbered by ships not too much worse than itself. But when I do bring the full fleet it results in many ship losses and quickly gets expensive to restore and replace them.Ĭould you kindly recommend some ship combinations and/or loadouts for the current version of the game? I would prefer not to use the Automated Ships skill. You get an entire fleet after all so just deploying 1 ship seems a little silly. The best luck I've had is going in solo and staying evasive while steadily picking off their frigates/destroyers but this seems like this is not the way to be playing. Other than the Odyssey the Capitals seems too expensive on DP for what they actually bring which is often getting kited to death.Īs for the Control Points do you try to cap as many as possible and risk splitting the fleet or do you just accept that you'll never cap them and they're mostly there for the enemy AI? I've tried a Capital ship to attempt to anchor the fleet and form some kind of defense but again, when you're out numbered you get surrounded quickly and killed. I've tried mixed cruisers/destroyers/frigates but we got deleted incredibly quickly. What I'm really after is how to figure out how to make the most of 160 DP. I did some googling around but a lot of the info is seemingly outdated and didn't get me too far. Should I be attacking, picking off some of the rushers then retreating and attacking again? This feels just a little too cheesy so I've been trying avoid that but have had to do it for some of the more difficult size Ordos. I have most of my ships equipped with Solar Shielding and Hardened Shields I also tried to even the ECM rating but since you can only deploy a 160-170 DP worth of ships it doesn't really make a dent and you remain at -10% weapon range for quite a while. What I'm really looking for is some general advice on how I should be winning these battles. I've been having some good fights piloting the Odyssey a pretty powerful ship but it also costs 45 DP to deploy and I honestly can't decide weather that DP would be better spent on a few smaller ships to even the numbers a little better. I respecced recently and got my DP up to 171 but it still seems like it's not enough Without these points you remain at a large disadvantage and I'm a bit confused how to even the balance. You're already out numbered so splitting the fleet up more just seems like a bad idea. It makes capping and keeping points at the start of the battle a massive risk. You only have 160 DP to play with, it's really not that much considering just how outnumbered you are. Most ships seem to be severely outmatched when fighting against the Remnants and are unable to stand up in a 1v1 situation. The difficulty mostly stems from finding the correct ships for the job. Having a bit of a difficult time fighting in high threat systems.
