The L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation and Powder retail for $12.99 and are available at your local drugstores, Ulta, Target, Walmart and Amazon. I wouldn’t use the powder itself as a foundation since it doesn’t have great coverage on its own. It works beautifully hand in hand with the foundation if you want to add a tiny bit more coverage to your face or as a touchup powder. I went lighter with the powder since I wasn’t sure if it would oxidize. But never have I had a foundation make my skin look dry-ish. Maybe it was the primer I was using or the change in seasons, not sure. It left my skin uber matte and at some points, made my skin look dry. With 99% of matte foundations, I’ll find myself needing to touch up and blot the excess oil in a couple hours…not with this one. Wear time was unexpected – It was almost too drying for me (what?!). I suggest buying a shade slightly lighter than you’re used to. However, notice that the blended swatch looks much darker than the initial swatch – something to keep in mind when you purchase the product. A few months ago, I purchased the corresponding powder in the shade Hazelnut. Finish is medium to full and would be a great option to wear for a night out. As you can see, it’s pretty yellow and I even did a side by side comparison with my Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (my HG) in 153 and found it practically identical (LMK if any of you want me to do a post about that!). I struggle to find good yellow-toned foundations, particularly in drugstores. The new L’Oreal Pro-Matte range claims to provide a demi-matte finish with medium coverage, ideal for the girl who needs to blot midday.
